Middle School CTE Courses

In Design and Modeling, students apply the engineering design process to creatively solve real-world problems. Students use tools such as the design process, computer-aided design (CAD) program, computer simulations, and an engineering notebook to design, model and build objects.

In Medical Detectives, students play the role of real-life medical detectives as they collect and analyze medical data to diagnose disease. They solve medical mysteries through projects and labs, measure and interpret vital signs, dissect a sheep brain, investigate disease outbreaks, and explore how a breakdown within the human body can lead to dysfunction.

In Green Architecture, students learn how to apply “green” concepts to the fields of architecture and construction by exploring dimensioning, measuring and architectural sustainability as they design affordable housing units using 3D computer-aided design (CAD) software.
